The library is the area on OKTAV where you’ll find all the pieces that matter to you and where you can organize them in different ways.
You’ll find the library in the main navigation:
Desktop: top menu bar
Smartphone: in the expandable main menu in the top right
Smartphone / Tablet: in the bottom tab bar.
In your Library you’ll find different types of playlists (Your Playlists, Special Playlists, OKTAV Playlists), along with any pieces you may have bought individually:
Your own playlists – your very own collections. You can name them however you like and sort songs by mood, occasion, or theme.
️ Favorites – this is a special playlist. Use it to mark your favorite pieces and find them super quickly. It's an extra way to organize stuff that works everywhere.
Status – These are special playlists we offer you too. They help you sort your pieces by learning progress: Want to learn, Focus Song or Repertoire.
Practice progress (XP) – To use this option, you have to mark a piece as a focus song. Then it'll show you how far you are with a piece – from "Not started yet" to "Completed."
OKTAV Playlists - These are collections we've put together on certain topics, styles, or difficulty levels. They help you discover new stuff or practice more specifically – with no long searching. All the OKTAV playlists you've saved are collected in your library.
Purchases - Next to playlists, you'll also find your music purchases in the library.
By the way: Status and Practice Progress aren’t your usual playlists, but work together to give you special features that help with learning and practicing.
You can add pieces to playlists in three ways.
Right at the piece using the 3-dot menu (like in search or with recommendations)
On the song detail page
Through the menu item “Library”
That depends on the kind of playlist:
In the playlist → 3-dot menu
In the relevant playlist → 3-dot menu
Directly at the piece, outside the playlist → 3-dot menu
On the song detail page
The different playlists in the library give you 4 big benefits:
Organize pieces: Your own playlists & favorites
Track learning progress: Status & practice progress
Quick access: Status & favorites
