The Moving Playhead is a vertical line that moves across the sheet music at the set tempo – bar by bar. It shows you exactly where you are in the piece.
Alternatively or in addition, you can have whole bars highlighted too. These light up one after the other and give you an easy overview of where you are.
Both help you play along: The Moving Playhead shows you the exact current note, while the bar highlight gives you a rough idea of the section – with a bit more room for timing.
This is especially helpful for beginners, making it easier to start reading music and not lose your place while playing.
You'll find the options under the MIDI menu or in the three-dot menu. They're turned on by default. When you hit Play, the playhead moves across the notes and the current measure gets highlighted automatically.
In scroll mode, the score moves along by itself. In reading mode, you always see a whole page at once – and after the last measure, it jumps right to the next page automatically.
Nope – these features are only available for our interactive scores.

That can happen on older devices and with older sheet music because of technical reasons. To make the playhead work, we have to prep every piece.
